授課目的： 1. 溝通能力與信心:溝通是學習外國語一個很重要的目的。然而，從研究與教學經驗顯示，國人學習英語最大障礙之一就是不敢開口。這堂課除了提昇同學英語聽力外，另一個重要的目的就是幫助同學們透過團隊學習，一起跨越英語學習的心理障礙而可以開口說英語。2. 流暢度與發音: 不敢開口的原因一部份在心理，一部份在語言本身。 在語言的部份多數人因認為發音不正確而不敢開口。 基於此，這門課在口語能力之訓練上將首要透過不同的主題情境訓練加強英語流暢度。除此之外，並將視同學的狀況與需求，將部份時間做為發音練習。在必要時亦會提醒同學使用英語之注意事項，如使用場合之適切性以減低溝通障礙或誤解。 3. 文化學習: 除了語言技巧的訓練，在文化學習的部份亦會透過不同的主題比較目標語文化(美國文化)與本國文化之異同。若在時間許可下，亦可作較為深入之延伸，如信仰、價值觀等議題之討論，以期同學對美國文化的內涵有進一步的了解。4. 提升英語學習動機:帶領同學釐清與檢視自我學習狀態進而誘發內在學習動力5. 人際能力: 在學習方式上，部分課程將會透過配對及團隊方式進行，一來以減低同學學習外國語的焦慮，進而提高對英語學習的動機與樂趣，二來提供同學在合作;

Class collaboration is enabled through the week via the Line messaging application. Students are encouraged to follow their own interests in mastering vocabulary, as these choices are likely to reflect their future activities.
